Message for August 22, 2021 from Pastor Shirley

The promise “I will never leave you nor forsake you” was first given to Israel and Joshua before entering the Promised Land. Deuteronomy 31:6
This was echoed in Hebrews 13:5 He Himself has said, “I will never leave you, nor forsake you”.  In a world and even in our own lives where things are constantly changing, what a comforting promise to hold onto.
The first part of this scripture in Hebrews reads “Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have.”
This tells us we are not to put our trust in riches or material goods, the things of the world we think will bring us contentment which will ultimately fail us.  We as  believers should place our hope in God, who has promised, “I will never leave you and I will never forsake you”.
