This Wicked World
Jeremiah 17:9-10 reads “The heart is deceitful above all things, And desperately wicked;
Who can know it? I, the Lord, search the heart, I test the mind, Even to give every man according to his ways, According to the fruit of his doings.”
One can only attempt to figure what possesses a man that he would murder his mother, then go into a room full of innocent children and methodically take their lives. In doing so he robs the innocence of every child left behind. I do believe it is obvious that our nation is going to Hell in a hand basket, but just as in Matthew 24:12-13, “And because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold. But he who endures to the end shall be saved.” We too must endure to the end- the very end. Though many will turn away from a walk with God, we cannot- we must not. Endure the hardships with the promise of knowing our reward awaits us, and though discouragement will come, it is through Christ that we are revived. Seek His face while He may be found.
